Sandalwood stars such as Puneeth Rajkumar, Darshan, Sriimurali and Sudeep have already sung praises of “Act 1978”. Joining the list of celebrities who have expressed their appreciation are Prajwal Devaraj and Niranjan Deshpande.
“Act 1978 is the first film I have watched after lockdown and it’s been worth every moment. Director MansoRe has given a brilliant film to the Kannada industry. It is so close to real life. This is not just good cinema; it’s an excellent piece of cinema,” says Prajwal Devaraj.
Meanwhile, Niranjan Deshpande shares that every time one watches a film in the theatre, it can create a feeling of “wow” or “damn, why did I even watch it”. “Act 1978” belongs to the first category. “I loved the film. It conveys a pertinent point and for those of us who have gone to government offices and have struggled to get even a signature from there, know what it feels like. This film encapsulates that helplessness brilliantly. MansoRe has made such a wonderful film on that topic,” states Niranjan.
“Act 1978” has been garnering fabulous reviews and continues to run to packed houses. In its Adonis week, more theatres have also been added. This is a film that is clearly setting trends.
