Raichur: In a rather unfortunate incident, a wife, who was travelling in an ambulance with the dead body of her husband, died after the ambulance met with an accident at Santekeluru at Maski taluk here.
The deceased couple is Gangappa and Sridevi from Raichur. While Gangappa died in Bengaluru, Sridevi had come to Bengaluru to take his dead body. When she was returning to their village named Surpur in Raichur, the ambulance collided with a tractor leaving four persons including Sridevi injured. Though the injured were rushed to the hospital, Sridevi died.
A case has been registered at the Muski police station.
