Bengaluru: Raichur boy Vidyadhar Patil has been selected for Indian team, which will represent India in the Under 19 world cup to be held in the South Africa. U19 world cup will be played in South Africa between January 17 and February 9.
Shubhang Hegde is another cricketer from the state selected for the Indian team for the tournament.
Vidyadhar Patil, 17 years, started playing cricket when he was just 10. Recently he played for the Indian team in England. He is an all rounder.
He is the second cricketer from Raichur to shine in the national cricket. Earlier, Yaregowda from the district had represented the state in various tournaments.
