Bengaluru: Maski Congress MLA Pratap Gowda is likely to resign for his post as MLA on Wednesday, July 3.
Speaking to reporters in Maski, he hinted that he was going to resign by stating that he will take the appropriate decision in the next one or two days.
Gowda, who was in Maski till Monday morning, left for Bengaluru in a hurry after receiving a call from a BJP leader. Before leaving for Bengaluru, however, he informed reporters that he was not aware of MLA Anand Singh’s resignation.
According to sources in the BJP, the resignation of both Anand Singh and Ramesh Jarakiholi is a well planned strategy. “Wait for a few days,” said a BJP leader.
Meanwhile, the Congress party is unlikely to counter the BJP’s strategy with senior party leader Siddaramaiah showing more interest in the party organisation and preparing for the 2023 election with the idea of getting a clear majority.
