Raichur: The CID team led by its SP SD Sharanappa which is investigating the death of engineering student Madhu Pattar visited her residence and college and collected details.
The investigating officers collected the details about her studies, performance and other activities, both at her residence and college. The team checked the CCTV footage and met senior police officers of the city. It also inquired the accused who is now in the judicial custody. Madhu’s parents alleged that accused youth was harassing their daughter for a long time.
Meanwhile, the CID team is awaiting the forensic and the postmortem report, which is expected to establish the cause of death.
The body of a 23-yr-old lady was found in an isolated place, hanging from a tree. The body looked partially charred and the victim’s family and friends had alleged that a youth, who has been working as a gardener had raped and murdered her.
