Raichur: In the 'audio gate' that hit the state in February, where former CM B S Yeddyurappa was found offering money to the son of a JDS MLA, it was alleged that former minister Shivanagouda Nayak, a BJP leader from Raichur was behind the whole episode. It was alleged that it was Nayak who facilitated the meeting between BSY and the JDS lawmaker's son.
Now, Nayak made another interesting statement in Raichur. Speaking during a BJP meeting, he announced that no matter what people said, BSY will form a new state government in the next 45 days.
"This government is collapsing. BSY is the next CM. Don't worry," he reportedly said in the meeting.
The video tape of the meeting went viral on social media.
According to sources, the BJP expected to relaunch 'Operation Kamala' immediately after the Lok Sabha elections. "That is the fact," said a BJP leader.
A senior BJP leader said, with Speaker K R Ramesh Kumar accepting the resignation of Chincholi MLA Dr Umesh Jadhav, a few more Congress MLAs are expected to jump ship. "But all are waiting for the outcome of the Lok Sabha election," he said.
