Raichur: Though Tipu Jayanti celebrations went on peacefully throughout the state, Education Minister Tanvir Sait got entangled in a controversy when he opened a nude clip while running through pictures on his mobile at Raichur on November 10.
Minister Sait was taking part in the Tipu Jayanti celebrations at Raichur organised by the district administration. All of a sudden he opened a nude clip and that was enough for the cameraman nearby to inch closer and the opposition BJP to rake up a new issue. When the cameraman drew closer, an alert Sait flipped to another screen.
The protesting BJP was enraged by the minister’s “behaviour” in a government organised programme. Now, the opposition is seeking his resignation over his “irresponsible” behaviour.
As an “education” minister, Sait may have to answer a lot of questions in the near future regarding his “extracurricular activity”.
