Mangaluru: A 64-seater air conditioned coach, reserved only for Central Armed Police Force personnel was flagged off on March 5 by Hardeep Singh, deputy inspector general (DIG), CISF headsquarter, Chennai.
The coach, attached to the Navayuga Express can be used by the army personnel travelling either on duty, in cases of emergency along with their family members. The Navayuga Express travels from Mangaluru to Jammu Tawi
Speaking to media persons Hardeep Singh appreciated this initiative on the part of the CISF and the railway ministry stating that a special coach reserved for the armed forces will help make their travel easier.
