Organ Donation Awareness Program was held at Mathura Refinery Mathura. The program was organised by Rotary Club Mathura Central in association with Nayati Health Care and Organ Donation India Foundation.
Mr L W Khongwir, Executive Director Mathura Refinery was the Chief Guest. Mr Lal Goel Chairman Organ Donation India Foundation & Chief Promoter of Pandit Health Resort & Spa, Ms Niira Radia Chairperson and Managing Director Nayati Health Care and Mr E Ponnuswamy, Former Union State Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas were Guests of Honour. In his inaugural speech, Mr Khongwir appealed all to pledge to donate their organs. Ms Niira Radia gave a PPT presentation on Organ Donation in India and also mentioned that Nayati Health Care target is to get one million people to pledge to donate their organs.
Mr Lal Goel in his speech appealed the Central Government to amend the Motor Vehicle Act to declare that all the Organs of Brain Dead people who met with an Accident to be used for needy patients. Mr Goel also honoured one Patient who recently received Kidney by giving him the Badge and Hand Band of Donate Life USA. Mr Ponnuswamy praised the efforts of Mr Goel, Ms Niira Radia, Rotary Club Mathura Central and Mathura Refinery for creating Organ Donation Awareness in Mathura and assured full support of Central Govt.
Rtn Deepak Goel President Rotary Club Mathura Central gave thanks to all the guests and hoped that this program will create more Organ Donation Awareness in this region. On this occasion, Rtn D P Sharma President Organ Donation India Foundation North Zone, Mrs Sridevi Goel IPS, Former Director General Police, Rtn K D Agrawal, Asst Governor Rotary and Kr Narendra Singh were present among others. The program was conducted by Dr Jyoti Goyal, Dr Nitika Punani and Ms Shivani Sharma.
