Shivamogga: The Ganesha idol of the Hindu Mahasabha was taken in a grand procession here on Thursday, September 12.
Thousands of devotees gathered along the streets from where the procession moved.
The main attraction of the procession were the huge cutouts of B R Ambedkar, Bhagat Singh, Swami Vivekanand, Rana Pratap, Saradar Valllabhai Patel, Jhansi Rani Lakshmibhai and many other prominent figures from the freedom struggle and other walks of life.
People were seen taking selfies in front of the various cutouts.
The slogan “Jai Sri Ram” echoed all around.
Fireworks, folk teams and colourful rangolis were part of the celebrations.
