Mumbai: The Congress activists from the city on Thursday garlanded the Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa with chappals for her government’s decision to free the accused in Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination.
The Congress activists assembled at and raised slogans against the Jayalalithaa government.
The decision has been taken to gain political mileage in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, the activists alleged.
NSUI vice president Rajiv Yadav castigated the Tamil Nadu government’s decision and said it is against the principle of natural justice.
