Bengaluru: The discussion on the vote of confidence continued on Friday, July 19, at the Vidana Soudha. The Ruling Congress-JD(S) coalition government continued to filibuster and delay the trust vote, with the hopes of pushing the motion to Monday.
Repeated attempts were made by the Opposition BJP to get the motion to pass. Even Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala tried to intervene and set two deadlines for the trust vote, both of which were crossed by the ruling coalition.
The session was finally adjourned to Monday, July 22.
