Piriyapatna: An retired soldier allegedly shot his wife, son and daughter-in-law in connection with a land dispute here at Kiranguru village.
Mallayya had often fought with his family members regarding the property he owned.
He owned 5 acres of land inherited from his father. Recently son Shridhar and daughter in law Asha had fought with Mallayya regarding the land.
So on Sunday following a heated argument over family property, Mallayya shot his son and daughter in law. His wife Janakamma who came to stop him was also shot.
The injured were admitted in Piriyapattana general hospital. They have been shifted to Mysore hospital.
After the incident Mallayya himself went to Piriyapattana police station and surrendered.
Police are further investigating the matter.
