Abu Dhabi: Vikaas Group of Institutions, Mangaluru, conducted a career guidance seminar for students of classes 8, 9 and 10, as well as their parents, at the India Social and Cultural Centre, Abu Dhabi on October 19.
The seminar titled “What next after class X?”, was organised with the intention of helping the students figure out what they want to do after they complete high school.
Dean of Vikaas Collge Dr Manjula Rao and consultant and trainer Jobin John conducted the seminar for the students and their parents.
Before the talk, they interacted in a one-on-one session with the students and parents and counselled them on what to do after the 10th standard. The parents and students were receptive and thanked the organizers and the faculty.
On October 18, a day before the seminar, Dr Manjula Rao, Jobin John, Blanch Dalmaida and CA Valerian Dalmaida met the students of classes 8, 9 and 10 of Abu Dhabi Indian School, Wathba, along with their parents, during the open day programme. The response was very good.
Students of St Joseph’s High School, Abu Dhabi, Indian School Muroor, Abu Dhabi, Indian School Wathba and Bright Riders School participated in the seminar.
