Valedictory ceremony of Kannada Paata Shaale held in Dubai

Dubai: Kannada Paata Shaale–Dubai, the dream project of Kannada Mitraru Dubai that completed four cycles successfully, conducted its valedictory ceremony to conclude the activities of the year 2017-18.

Prabhakar Ambaltere, Chief Secretary of Karnataka NRI Forum (KNRI Forum), Druva Satyanarayan, Anthony Abraham and Harish Kodi, executive committee members of KNRI Forum, UAE were the chief guests of the programme.

Nagaraj Rao welcomed the guests and parents gathered in the school.

Shashidhar Nagrajappa, Chief Convenor of Kannada Paata Shaale and President of Kannada Mitraru-UAE , read out the annual report of the school.

In his keynote address, Prabhakar Ambaltere appreciated the selfless service rendered by the teachers of the school. He lauded the efforts of the organisation to hold class for six months so that the future generation does not lose touch with their mother tongue. He also assured to arrange support from Karnataka Government to host the Kannada School activities in the future.

Dhruva Satyanarayan, in his short speech, advised the team to motivate the children to learn Kannada by instilling the feeling of pride in their mother tongue.

Antony Abhram, the other respected guest, congratulated the whole team of Kannada Paata Shaale for their tremendous efforts in bringing up such a helpful concept in Dubai. In his address, Harish Kodi opined that moral values should also be taught to the children along with Kannada education as it is more important to create a better society.

The guests honoured all the children with certificates and medals as a token of appreciation.

Fourth Standard students received the book-Kannada Kalika Kaipidi procured from Karnataka Development Board of the Karnataka State Government with the help of KNRI Forum President Praveen Kumar Shetty.

Prabhakar Ambaltere presented the mementos to all the teachers who make themselves available to teach the kids on every weekend. Teachers at the school Kamakshi Suresh and Chetana Gavaskar shared their experience on behalf of teachers. Shwetha Nadig Sharma compered the programme and Roopa Shashidhar proposed a vote of thanks to conclude the event.

The organisation said that the next batch of Kannada classes would start from November 2018 till April 2019 and further information would be released soon.
