The Billawa community of UAE celebrated their togetherness at the 20th annual gathering held at Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, Dubai on October 27.
Umanath Kotian, former president of Tulu Sahitya Academy & BJP leader, Vice President of Rashtreeya Billawamahamandala and actor Rajashekhar Kotian, president of Mumbai Billawa association Nityananda Kotian, Mumbai Billawa chamber of commerce president S K Poojary, Harish Amin and other dignitaries were present during the inauguration.
President of Billawa family Satish Poojary welcomed the gathering. On behalf of the Billawa family, Umanath Kotian, Rajashekhar Kotian, singer Lahari Kotian and actor Sunil Kumar were honored for their service towards uplifting the arts and culture of Tulu.
Local artists of the Billawa community of UAE and guest artists presented beautiful dances, skits and other fun filled stage performances which enthralled the audience and received an overwhelming applause. Suvarna Satish compered the formal stage programme and the guests honored the sponsors for their support to make the event successful.
