UAE: A woman in the UAE filed for divorce in the Shariah court in Fujairah on the grounds that her husband is too nice to her and has never argued with her.
The woman told the court, “He never yelled at me or turned me down. His love and compassion are so over the top.”
“I am choked by his extreme love and affection. He even assisted me in cleaning the house without me asking him,” she added.
Annoyed by her hassle-free life, the wife further complained that her husband even cooks for her.
She told the court that this cruel-free treatment has left her yearning for at least a single day of dispute.
In response to his wife’s statement, the husband said that he had not done anything wrong.
He told the court, “Everybody advised me to disappoint and turn her down or reject some of her requests, but I did not because I am and always wish to be a perfect and kind husband.”
The husband further requested the court to direct his wife to withdraw the case. “It’s not fair to judge a marriage from the first year, and everybody learns from their mistakes,” he added.
The court has adjourned the case and asked the couple to settle the matter amongst themselves.
