UAE: Sparsha Shetty, Grade 7 student of Indian High School, Dubai has bagged the prestigious “Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence” of cycle 24 for the year 2017-2018 under the category “Excellent Student.” Sparsha is also a proud recipient of the prestigious Sheikh Hamdan award in the year 2015.
Sparsha Shetty is the daughter of Prakasha Shetty and Shushma Shetty who are residing in Dubai since 12 years. Sparsha plays a major role as dotting sister to her younger brother Prasham Shetty.
Apart from regular academic studies, she has been an “Honour” student in IBT and Asset exams.
Sparsha has keen interest in sports too. She is an active athlete and also plays badminton. She has represented her school at the inter-school level athletics and UAE level badminton tournaments.
Apart from sports, Sparsha is passionate about dancing as well. She is being trained in various styles of Indian classical dances such as Bharatanatyam. She has performed across India. She has won several dance competitions and wants to make D, an integral part of her life.
Sparsha is also a talented artist, speed reader, public speaker and Gavellier.
Born and raised in the UAE, Sparsha admires the UAE for its unmatched humanity and loads of opportunities. Sparsha, having received the Sh. Hamdan award for being the distinguished student from H H Sh. Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, thanks him for the effort in identifying the young talent and nurturing them. She is elated to receive such awards once again from H H Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad al Qasimi. She thanks him and Sharjah Education Council for recognising her efforts.
