Dubai: As many as five thousand people of the city took part in the Yoga meet ‘YogaFest ME’ at the Dubai Internet City Amphitheater conducted on November 18 and 19. Participants practiced yoga, dance, Qi Gong (Chinese form of yoga) and meditation at the venue.
Both the seasoned and amateur yoga enthusiasts gathered at the Amphitheater to experience and practice the art of yoga with the guidance of yoga teachers. Unlike the previous years, YogaFest ME 2016 was bilingual as there were sessions in Arabic too. There were also events conducted for women only.
“There is something for everyone in this venue. Festival-goers can choose from a multitude of classes and workshops led by local and international teachers. Participants could also involve in lectures, concerts and many more activities as well”, said yoga practitioner and founder of the festival Elaine Kelly.
The 2016 yoga fest was the sixth edition of YogaFest ME which is conducted every year. On both the days of the event, the organizers hosted more than 150 classes for people who wanted to learn yoga and other similar activities.
