Muscat: The capital city of the Sultanate of Oman, Muscat will be placed under total lockdown for 12 days starting on Friday.
The Sultanate of Oman took this decision today as a precautionary measure to control the spread of the deadly novel coronavirus pandemic.
The Ministry of Health, on Wednesday, had reported 48 new COVID-19 positive cases, taking the total to 419. This number includes 72 recoveries and two deaths.
People have been urged to adhere to the precautionary measures and home quarantine instructions. Everyone has also been asked to follow social the distancing instructions issued by the Supreme Committee. The Ministry has also asked people not to leave their homes unless necessary.
