Doha: The Karnataka Sangh Qatar will be organizing the 63rd Karnataka Rajyotsav, a day of celebration, here on Friday, November 16.
Speaking to media, Karnataka Sangha Qatar President, Venkat Rao, said, “The Kannada matinee idol, popularly known as Challenging Star, Darshan Thoogudeep will grace the forthcoming event, on November 16 at DPS auditorium, Wakrah, from 4 PM onwards.”
The prominent writer & lyricist Jayanth Kaikini will be awarded “Qatar Kannada Samman” award for 2018, during the event. Srujan Lokesh, a household name in Karnataka who hosts the popular “Maja Talkies”, reality comedy show will grace the function.
The Commercial Head of Colour Kannada Group, Parameshwar Gundkal will be honoured during the programme. Different ballet dance performances will be staged by the visiting couple artistes Vikram Suri and Namitha Rao from Surya Kalavidaru team.
Playback singers, Vyasaraj Sosale and Jyothi Vyasaraj, will render the old and latest hit numbers.
Third Secretary at Indian Embassy, Qatar, Shruthi Purushottam, will be the Chief Guest of the programme and ICC President, Milan Arun, will be the Guest of Honour.
Local members of KSQ and other Karnataka based associations in Qatar will also perform during the event.
