Dubai: Konkan Yuva in association with YAM(Young Adults Ministry) will be bringing in expert speakers to share inside knowledge with UAE residents/ expats seeking a new career on July 3, at 5:00 PM
Konkan Yuva (Youth group of Mangalorean community), in collaboration with YAM(Young Adults Ministry), has taken the initiative to conduct a free session for job seekers and those looking at a career progression.
The free session will have two eminent speakers in the field of talent acquisition and management.
In this free session you will learn;
– How to plan your job search strategy?
– How to get yourself noticed by prospective employers in the UAE?
– How to create the first impression?
– How to shine in an interview?
The first speaker is Avil Pinto, who has over 14 years of diverse experience in HR, Supply Chain, Sales and Operations across Banking, Hospitality & FMCG. He is currently the Logistics Account Manager, Middle East Operations at FrieslandCampina (Rainbow Milk).
His inherent love in helping people to unleash their true potential has resulted in founding DubaiJobsHunt (Voluntary group on FB) where he conducts sessions for people who seek to thrive in their Life & Career.
Avil is a motivational speaker/trainer/Vlogger with over 150 FB live videos crossing 500,000+ views. He also holds a leadership role as a President at Arabian Dreams Toastmasters Club.
He has an MBA in general management from ICFAI, Dehradun and a Human Resource Management for Business from NCC, UK.
Our second speaker is Valencia Fernandes, a passionate recruiter. Witnessing both her parents out of a job and struggling during her childhood Valencia took on Recruitment as a career to help people with one thought, ‘no child should see their parents struggle’.
She has now been into Recruitment since 2008 and never looked back.
Valencia has been in the middle east all her life and has worked with some major players in the market like Alshaya, Alsayer(Toyota & Lexus), OSN and Bateel. Her exposure in recruitment is spread over various sectors like retail, F&B, automotive, FMCG and real estate.
During her tenure, she has viewed several CVs and matched over 1000 professionals (blue and white-collar alike) to potential opportunities within MENA and UK. She has also worked with various ATS’s and knows a few tricks in the book to create a compelling ATS friendly CV.
She is a meticulous person with great attention to detail and the added passion to help. Having acquired the CIPD qualification she was then motivated to venture into a start-up ‘TYPACV’ where she creates great profiles and digital presences for every job seeker. She has now been turning profiles around for severely people since 2018.
