Dubai: The “Indian Kaleidoscope” exhibition of master class paintings of different renowned artists was presented at the India Club under the patronage of Gallerie Orchid on February 16.
William Pais, Organiser and Director of Gallerie Orchid welcomed the guests to the exhibition. The show began with the traditional lighting of the lamps by the guests.
James Mendonca, Chairman of Reliable Fabricators; Binay Shetty, Chief of Travelex Holding; Walter Moras, entrepreneur; Joseph Mathias, Director of Merit Freight Systems; Dayan Mukamar, Founder of Daiji Dubai and famous art collector Kevin Colaco from Mumbai were on the dais.
Kevin Colaco, who has vast experience in arts and paintings, expressed his views and experience on paintings. He said that paintings give one mental satisfaction and a feeling of pride everyday as one is giving value and respect to the artist while buying any painting. “As there is no bad painting, the value of any painting never diminishes. So, paintings can be considered as a personal hobby of collections as well as a good way of investments. The right investment in good paintings of promising artists will give better returns in certain time period when an artist establishes himself as master of art”, he opined.
The exhibition explored the paintings of famous artists namely, Shantharam Hettarki, M F Hussain, Wilson D’Souza, Jeevan A S, Shashikant Bane, Gurudas Shenoy, Sharath B, Ramagiri Patil and Ramesh Rao.
