Dubai: In a tragic incident, a Dubai Civil defence officer lost his life on Sunday, June 30, while trying to put out a fire that broke out in a building located in the Business Bay area.
The deceased has been identified as Corporal Tariq Abdullah Ali Al Hawai from the Etihad (Union) Firefighting Centre.
Reportedly, the fire broke out in an under-construction building’s parking lot at around 10.40 AM on Sunday on Al Abraj street. No other civilians were injured in the mishap.
The Dubai Civil Defence tweeted, “Corporal Tariq Abdullah Ali Al Hawai from Etihad (Union) Firefighting Centre has died while trying to control the fire that broke out… at an under-construction building located on Al Abraj street.”
