UAE: Karnataka Sangha Sharjah is one of the oldest association for Kannadigas in the UAE that has been serving since past 15 years to promote Kannada in this part of the world through their activities.
In a recent meet held to elect the new office bearers for the year 2018-19, the Committee unanimously chose Anand Bailoor, one of the senior stalwarts of the Sangha, as the new President of Karnataka Sangha Sharjah. Another senior member, M.E. Moolur has been elected as the Vice President while active worker Noel D. Almeida is elected as the General Secretary.

Joint Secretary – Vishwanath Shetty
Treasurer – Sashikanth Kanangi
Entertainment Secretary – Rajesh Kuthar
Sports Secretary – Jeevan Kuckian
Joint Secretary – Sports – Sandeep Rao
All the office bearers accepted their responsibilities and took oath with the guidance of Patron Mark Denis D’Souza.
Advisory Committee comprising of Praveen Kumar Shetty, Harish Sherigar, B.K. Ganesh Rai, Prabhakar Ambalthere, Satish Poojary, past President Sugandh Raj Bekal & Ananth Raman witnessed the oath taking.
The meeting started a condolence prayer in remembrance of late Basanth Bekal, who had been an active member of the Sangha. The Committee meeting concluded with vote of thanks.
