Abdul Majeed elected new President of South Kanara Muslim Welfare Association

Doha: The South Kanara Muslim Welfare Association (a charitable organization hailing from south Karnataka) elected Abdul Majeed Mudabidri as its new President for 2020 -2021 at their 27th Annual General Body Meeting held on January 24.

The meeting started with a recitation of the Holy Quran by Adnan Amir Hamza.

Newly-elected President Abdul Majeed presided over the function and briefed the members about the committee’s activities during the year 2018 and 2019.

Kasum Udupi welcomed the gathering, Nasir Ullal and Sathar Montepadav submitted the Annual Report and Financial Report respectively.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Razzak Puttur.

The body unanimously elected Abdul Majeed Mudabidri as President for the term 2020-2021.

Other officer bearers for 2020 are: Abdul Kasim Udupi, Razzak Puttur, Ismail Jokatte (Vice Presidents), Abdul Sathar Montepadav (General Secretary), Afzal Jameel and Khader Sagar (joint Secretaries) Abdul Nasir Ullal and CA Mohamed Kondana (Treasurers).

The new committee includes seven advisors: Mohamed Shameem, Firoz Kundapura, Ibrahim Beary, Abdul Majeed Haleyangadi, Abdulla Monu, Suhaib, Arabi Kunhi, Iftikar, Imthiyaz, Ameer Hamza (Sports and Cultural Secretaries), and the new committee includes ten event co-ordinators Abbu Jokatte, Ismail MN Jokatte, Abdul Kader Jeelani, Abdul Rashhed, Elyas Beary, Mohamed Inayat, Riyaz Ummer, Safwan Santhosh Nagar, Musheer Nawaz, Abdul Hameed Qatar.
