Dubai: Dubai Hemmeya UAE Kannadigaru conducted its 2nd Job Fair & Career Guidance session on February 26. It is a platform wherein the recruiters, Industry experts and Job seekers and Candidates looking to change jobs come together, to exchange and seek information and where jobs are offered to the potential candidates.
The virtual zoom program which was live on their Facebook page began with the Introduction by Pallavi about the Hemmeya UAE Kannadigaru group, its programs over the past years and its vision to help Kannadigas, followed by the welcome speech by Hadiya Mandya. The UAE National Anthem, Indian National Anthem and Karnataka State Anthem marked the respect of the participants.
In her presidential speech Mamatha Mysuru stressed the need of Kannadigas associating in a large way to help other Kannadigas to get jobs in UAE so that they later become the promoters of Kannada language, culture wherever they are. She wished this mission every success.

The expert speaker, Ummer Farooq, explained the requirement of personality development, Raghavendra Manbol on the recruiter’s criteria & Digital Job Search methods, Radha Jeevan briefed on positiveness at the Interviews, Guru Nadkarni ignited the passion and purpose, Rafeeq cautioned the pitfalls and practical problems of expat job search and Vishnu Murthy provided information on approach and etiquette.
Several jobs offered by the recruiters along with job codes and description were listed and displayed with complete information.
Praveen Shetty, Fortune Group offered eight jobs to Kannadigas and also explained how an employee and employer can work together to create a win-win situation and long-term relationship and growth.
The vote of thanks was rendered by Vishnu Murthy Mysuru, thanking all the experts, job aspirants, viewers, main organizing members, subcommittee members, Senthil, general secretary and technical support, Naveen Bharadwaj, moderator of the program and Sadat, the media coordinator for the success of the event.
A follow up event of direct question and answer session was held on March 5 wherein Rafeeqali Kodagu, Mamatha Senthil, Hadiya Mandya, Shankar Belagavi, Senthil Bengaluru and Nizar kasaragodu further interacted with the jobseekers across Karnataka and gave them bundle of information about the job market, visa, accommodation, expenditure, risks, rules and regulations, precaution and tips about recruitment agencies.
Team HUK led by Mamatha Mysuru along with main organizing members Sudeep Davanagere, Senthil Bengaluru, RafiqAli Kodagu, Mamatha Sharjah, Pallavi Davanagere, Vishnu Murthy, Dr. Savitha Mysore, Hadiya Mandya, Anitha Bengaluru, Shankar Belagavi, Mohiuddin Hubli and subcommittee members were present.
