Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that he was accountable to the people of the state and would present the expenditure details on the floor of the house during budget, in response to Shah’s allegations.

The central government has given back the tax amount collected from the state with a deficit of Rs 11,000 Crore, said CM talking to reporters and added, “ The expenditure details will be presented to the people during the state budget next month.”

“Who is he to seek state expenditure? Did the Gujarat government provide the details of expenditure when Manmohan Singh was PM, questioned CM and said the BJP National President is unaware of the financial system under which union and states function in federal set-up.

“Centre gave Karnataka Rs 3 Lakh Crore. Where has all the money gone?” , Amit Shah had said during BJP sponsored rally on January 10, charging the state government of lacking accountability and large scale corruption.

The union government has been partial in releasing drought relief amount to states, where Maharashtra and Gujarat received more than Rs 3000 Crores, while Karnataka received only Rs 1500 Crores, CM alleged.
