Villager attacked by tiger succumbs to serious injuries

Mysuru: The entry of wild animals to the agricultural fields and city areas, have become a common phenomenon. In most of the instances their entry pose a threat to human beings. One such instance has occurred in Gundlupet village of Machur, H D Kote town where in the early hours of Monday, January 28 a tiger attacked a man and killed him.

The deceased is Chinnappa (40).

The villagers say that the incident happened when Chinnappa stepped out of his house. When villagers saw CHinnappa being attacked, they manged to scare away the tiger. However, Chinnappa, who had suffered severe injuries by then died on spot.

According to the villagers, the tiger has dragged Chinnappa for about 200 metres.
