Meanwhile, the tourists were not permitted to enter the palace.

This was for the first time, that these rituals were performed after three days of the Vijayadashami celebration.

Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar took the responsibility of all the poojas offered. All the weapons and vehicles were offered pooja along with the elephants, camels, and horses of the palace. Later, permission to begin the Vajra Musthi Kalaga was given and soon the wrestling began.

Every year, a huge gathering was observed to watch the Vajra Musthi. But this time around, there was no crowd, since the palace was closed for all the tourists.

Vajra Musthi Kalaga was won by Raghavendra Jatti from Bengaluru. As the blood flowed from his opponent Purushotham Jatti, the Kalaga ended within a minute from the start.

Raghavendra Jatti from Bengaluru, Manjunath Jatti and Vidyadhar Jatti from Mysuru and Purushothama Jatti from Chennapatna, Chamarajnagar, participated in this year’s, Vajra Musthi Kalaga.
