Mysuru: An unidentified man was found murdered at Udayagiri here on Friday.
A passerby, who saw the body on Friday morning, alerted N R Police station. N R Police Inspector Ashok and his team members visited the spot and after conducting an inquest sent the body for post-mortem. The assailants had smashed the victim’s head with a heavy stone resulting in his death on the spot.
According to police, the incident may have taken place on Thursday night. Police are yet to identify the deceased who is aged between 40 and 45. According to sources, the body of the deceased was found near the spot where RSS activist Raju was murdered. N R Police have a registered a case of murder and are on look out for the accused.
