Mysuru: Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI) Mysuru chapter, having successfully conducted the ‘Transforming Leadership Program’, a training program for constables is now mulling over conducting such programs for other government departments.
N Muthu Kumar Director QCFI and President and Whole time Director, Automotive Axles Limited said “After seeing police constables’ work pressure and their behavior we decided to conduct transforming leadership program for police constables in the district. After speaking to Superintendent of Police Ravi Channanavar, a Neuro-Linguistic Training (NLT) was conducted for nearly 600 police constables to help them manage the work pressure and stress. The focus of the training program was to mainly make the constables more satisfying persons. We have various mechanisms to fine tune stressed employees. Among 600 police constables, 50 will be shortlisted and fine tuned further who in turn will impart training in their respective police station limits. The training program started in November 2016 and a valedictory function will be held at Police Training Centre on December 7 where we will be distributing the certificates to those who underwent training”.
“After seeing good response from the participants, Deputy Commissioner D Randeep who has been impressed with the training process from day one requested us to impart such training to all the government departments. Already we have conducted sample program to all department shortly we will also take up full fledged training for other government departments” added Muthu Kumar.
