Mysuru: Sudha Murthy, wife of Infosys Founder N R Narayana Murthy will inaugurate this year’s Dasara celebration atop Chamundi Hills on October 19.
This was announced by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy during a high power committee meeting held at the Government Guest House here on August 28. A formal communiqué and invitation will be extended to her in due course as per tradition.
Sudha Murthy joins the list of eminent personalities of Karnataka who have inaugurated the Naada Habba which includes Kannada writer K S Nisar Ahmed of Nithyothsava fame, Jnanapeetha awardees Chandrashekar Kambar and Girish Karnad, Channaveera Kanavi, Baragur Ramachandrappa, seers including Siddeshwara Swamy, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji of Pejawar Matt and scientist C N R Rao.
