In order to bring them to the mainstream, education, we believe, is a must which we will introduce shortly. The Kerala government has introduced residential education system for Adivasis from class 1 to II PUC which has been appreciated across the country.”
He also mentioned that inorder to encourage people of the community to pursue education, the government had decided to award monthly pay to the people of Jenukuruba and Koraga who had completed SSLC, PUC and graduation. “Chief Minister Siddaramaiah would distribute the money during the conference organised to provide various facilities to the Adivasis on February 1. Those who have completed SSLC, PUC, bachelor’s and master’s degree would receive Rs 2,000, Rs 2,500, Rs 3,500 and Rs 4,500 respectively every month.
