Six-day Yuva Dasara packed with star playback singers to kick start today

Mysuru: Renowned playback singer Armaan Malik will be performing in Yuva Dasara for the first time. Apart from Armaan Malik, rapper Badshah, Kannada film star Yash, Neha Kakkar and singer Vijay Prakash will also perform on different days during the six-day Yuva Dasara programme which will be inaugurated by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy at the Maharaja College Ground today (October 12) evening.

Superintendent of Police Amit Singh who is the Deputy Special Officer of Yuva Dasara Sub-committee said, “This year during Yuva Dasara, renowned playback singers including Armaan Malik and team, Badshah and his team members, Neha Kakkar and troupe, Vijay Prakash and team, will be enthralling the audiences. To give opportunity to the college teams to perform on a bigger stage, we have selected 25 best teams from Yuva Sambrahma to perform in Yuva Dasara. Over 161 teams and more than 10,000 students from different colleges across the state performed during Yuva Sambrahma which was held from September 30 to October 7. On all the six days during Yuva Dasara, everyday between 6 PM to 7 PM, the teams selected from Yuva Sambrahma and some local troupes will be presenting performances while between 8 PM and 10.30 PM, renowned and prominent singers including from Bollywood will be performing.”

“On the inaugural day, Vijay Prakash and Harsha troupes will be presenting performances from 7.30 PM to 10.30 PM. On October 13, from 8.30 PM to 10.30 PM, Bollywood playback singers Badshah and Aastha Gill will perform; on October 14, a KSIC sponsored fashion show will be held from 7.30 PM to 8 PM while from 8 PM to 10.30 PM playback singer Armaan Malik and his team will be mesmerizing the crowd; on October 15, there will be Sandalwood nights from stars including Rachita Ram, Hari Priya, Saanvi Srivastav, Shubha Poonja, Ragini Dwivedi, Vaishnavi and Deepika Das. On October 16, Sherli Setiya and team will perform from 9 PM to 10.30 PM. On the last day, from 8.15 PM to 8.30 PM Kannada cine stars will be entertaining the crowd with dance and songs while Bollywood playback singer Neha Kakkar and troupe will be presenting a musical concert from 8.30 PM to 10.30 PM”, added Amit. On October 12, Chief Minister Kumaraswamy will inaugurate the event at 6 PM.

Rs 3.6 Crore sanctioned for Yuva Sambrahma and Yuva Dasara
This year, the government sanctioned Rs 3.6 Crore for conducting both Yuva Sambrahma and Yuva Dasara. The organisers have made seating arrangements for nearly 30,000 people. Elaborate security arrangements have been made at the venue. Harsha team from Bengaluru which includes Vijay Prakash in the team performing on October 12, 15 and 17 are being paid Rs 60 Lakh while Armaan Malik and Neha Kakkar will get Rs 35 Lakh each excluding GST. The organisers have spent nearly Rs 87 Lakh for Yuva Sambhrama which includes TA/DA and other charges for each team.

Regarding Rs 40 Lakh worth of pending bills from last year’s Yuva Dasara, Amit assured that the same would be released in a couple of days.
