Sivakumar takes charge as new deputy commissioner of Mysuru-1

Mysuru: K B Sivakumar took charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Mysuru district on March. At the 32, Sivakumar happens to be the youngest Deputy Commissioner for Mysuru.

He took charge from Deputy Commissioner D Randeep who has been transferred to Hassan in the same designation. The 2010 batch IAS officer hailing from Tamil Nadu holds B Tech and MA. Before taking charge of Mysuru district he served as Deputy Commissioner of Bijapur as well as ZP CEO in the same district. It may be recalled that D Randeep was the DC of Bijapur before his transfer to Mysuru.

During his address to the media, he did not speak more but mentioned that he wanted to make Mysuru a citizen-centric place. It seems as if he wants to speak less and concentrate more on work.

Randeep served for 19 months

D Randeep after taking charge in Mysuru came up with various developmental and tourist-friendly works. He also successfully conducted All India Kannada Sahithya Sammelana, by-election in Nanjangud and Gundlupet, World record in Yoga for the largest number of participants in single venue, introduced street festival, winter festival and 3D shows at Town Hall, Dasara Film Festival, Yuva Spandana. He was also known as people-friendly deputy commissioner.
