Mysuru: The long felt need of a one-year management programme in Mysuru was fulfilled by the launch of the Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) by Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD).
Buoyed by the success of its 9-month Certificate Program in Business Management (CPBM), the SDMIMD announced the one-year full-time Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM). The PGPM is a residential programme that sets upon the objectives of imparting quality management education with a blend of theory and practice. Candidates with a minimum of 2 years’ experience and/or owning family business are eligible to apply. There is no age limit to take up the course.
Malathi Sriram, Chairperson of PGPM, SDMIMD said, “The one-year full-time Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) is designed to meet the industry requirements of skill development of management graduates. After consultation with industry experts, including various CEOs, we have framed this course so that once the students complete the course, they are industry ready. To start, the maximum intake will not be more than 40 candidates. The admission process for the course has already started and those interested should apply on or before May 30.”
She also mentioned that the programme was formally launched by Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala and Chairman, SDM Educational Trust, at Dharmasthala last week.

M V Sunil, Coordinator of PGPM said, “Well before the completion of the courses, all our students were placed in reputed companies with very good perks.” He also mentioned that SDMIMD was a the premier B-School which was ranked among the top management institutes in India by various B-School surveys and by the Government of India’s Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).
