Mysuru: The Saraswati Puram police station bore a festive look on Monday when police personnel at the station decided to organize a baby shower ritual for one of their pregnant lady constable.
The pregnant woman, Rakshita works as a constable at the station. As part of the ritual, the staff members at the station performed a traditional arati by applying turmeric on her forehead and offered her fruits, juice, sweets, sari and bangles while praying for the safety of the baby and the to-be-mother. Rakshita’s husband, Trimurti, also participated in the program.
An overjoyed Rakshita said that she was very happy to have had a baby shower at the police station and thanked everyone, including the inspector for making it a special day for her.
