Mysuru: As a Member of Parliament representing the Mysuru-Kodagu constituency, Pratap Simha, failed to get sufficient relief funds to Kodagu which faced severe floods last year. Apart from that, as a member of the Pepper board, he did not make any effort to get proper price for pepper and also coffee,” said Congress leader and former MLA MK Somashekar.

“People in Kodagu suffered a lot during the floods that hit the district last year. As a member of parliament Pratap Simha failed to get sufficient relief funds from the centre. The only achievement of Pratap Simha is giving memorandum to ministers. A few weeks before the election date was declared, he gave nearly 18 memorandums to different ministers. The youth of this country have suffered a lot due to lack of job opportunities for the past five years. Modi assured of generating 2 crore jobs during his five year term, but failed to keep up his promise” said Somashekar.

Former chairman of Mysore Paints and Varnishes Limited HA Venkatesh, said “Narendra Modi is a good actor and people can learn acting from him. While addressing the people of Mysuru in his rally yesterday, he could have atleast told people that he is sorry for not keeping up his promise of making Mysuru like Paris, and that he will do it if he comes to power again. Instead he spoke about the achievements of his government which is nothing”.
