Mysuru: A high-tech prostitution racket, being carried on under the garb of a yoga centre was busted by the Mysuru police on Thursday.

Acting on information received through Odanadi Sanstha, Devraj police personnel carried out the raid at the centre located on a busy road at Ramavilas Road in the city and arrested three persons. Seven women, of Bangladeshi origin who were forced into the flesh trade, were rescued during the operation. However, main accused Mahesh managed to escape from the scene.

The locals, who were unaware of the activities going on at the place were shocked to know that prostitution was being carried out at the centre, which they believed was a yoga centre.

Reportedly, girls from neighbouring states such as Maharashtra and Kerala were being trafficked and were pushed into the flesh trade here.
