Bengaluru: The first commercial run of Namma Metro on Reach-2 between Mysuru Road and Magadi Road commenced on Wednesday from both the ends.
According to Metro officials, as many as 4514 commuted on the first day on trains which run between 4pm to 10pm. The first commercial run collected Rs 75200 on day one.
The entire stretch from Bayyapanahalli to Mysuru Road is likely to be open for service after January 2016.
The officials said that between November 23 and November 28, train services on Reach-I between MG Road and Baiyappanahalli stations and Reach-II between Magadi Road and Mysore Road stations will be run only between 8 am and 8 pm. The usual timings of Metro are 6 am to 10 pm.
This is to facilitate the derailment co-efficient test for the full East-West corridor between Baiyappanahalli and Mysore Road, the officials said.
