Mysuru: For those wanting to visit the Mysuru zoo and Karanji Lake, you can now get both the tickets at a discounted rate. This facility will be inaugurated by forest minister Shankar on October 18, at the Mysuru zoo premises.
The zoo authorities decided to give this offer as many visitors have requested it. Before, visitors needed to pay Rs 80 (adults) and Rs 40 (kids aged 5 to 12) to enter the zoo on weekdays and Rs 100 (adults) and Rs 50 (kids aged 5 to 12) on weekends. If they wanted to visit the Karanji Lake, they had to pay Rs 30 (adults) and Rs 20 (kids aged 5 to 12).
Now, with the combo offer, visitors can enter the zoo and lake for just Rs 80 on weekdays and Rs 100 on weekends and holidays for adults, while for children between the ages of 5and 12, the rates are Rs 40 on weekdays and Rs 50 on weekends and holidays.
Adavi Honey, a minor forest produce shop and BGS Apollo Clinic will be inaugurated at the Zoo pass today. The Adavdi Honey shop has been set up by the Forest department, in association with the ATREE organization. Here, one can get various products from the forests, including honey. The products that will be sold here are prepared by tribals.
The BGS Apollo Clinic has been set up for the welfare of the Mysuru zoo visitors. They can visit the clinic in the event of any health problems and get treated free of cost. Timely treatment will be provided to them at the clinic.
