Mysuru: Mysuru will witness 12 KPL matches this season. The sixth edition of KPL matches will also be held in Mysuru at Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar Ground from September 4 to 12.
Though the first two days including the inauguration on September 1 and 2 will be held in Bengaluru at Chinnaswamy Stadium, later, the second phase of the matches will be held in Mysuru at SDNRW ground from September 4 to 12 and third/final phase will be held in Hubbali from September 14 to 23 including semi-finals and finals. Last year, though 12 matches were awarded to Mysuru, due to Cauvery agitation and tense situation in Mysuru, all these matches were shifted to Hubballi.
Speaking to Newskarnataka, Balachandar, Convenor, Mysore zone, KSCA said, “The preparation for the KPL is going on for the past one week. We are preparing three pitches for the event. During eight days, 12 matches will be held in Mysuru and all the seven teams will be seen in action.” On the first day in Mysuru, that is on September 4, Mysuru Warrior will take on Bijapur Bulls at 7 pm. The first match will be held at 3 pm and the second match starts at 7 pm.
