Mysuru: GC Prakash, Regional Commissioner, Mysuru has initiated a probe into the suicide of Nanjangud Taluk Health Officer SR Nagendra.
Nagendra (43) committed suicide on Thursday, at his residence in Mysuru without leaving behind and death note.
Following his suicide, the doctors in Mysuru boycotted duty for four days. Under pressure, the state government transferred Mysuru ZP CEO Prashanth Kumar Mishra as it was said that harassment and pressure from higher ups claimed his life.
According to the sources, Regional Commissioner has been asked to file a report in seven days.
Meanwhile, on Monday, the doctors withdrew their strike.
