Mysuru: Mysuru MP Pratap Simha criticized actress Deepika Padukone over her visit to JNU on Tuesday, January 7 evening, to support the students.
Speaking to reporters in Mysuru, he stated that if Padukone extends support to good causes and acts in good movies, people will support her, or else they will not.
“I don’t ask her to stop fighting. But let her fight for good causes. People watch actors very closely,” he said.
“Efforts are done to divert the real issues of JNU by using the actors,” he alleged.
“Indira Gandhi had shut down JNU for 45 days. It revealed the true picture of what is happening inside the university,” he said.
