Mysuru Gold merchant loot case: Hyderabad police nab TDP leader’s son

Mysuru: The Hyderabad police nabbed five persons for burgling a gold merchant from Mysuru in Hyderabad on November 26. The merchant had lost Rs 1.26 cr in the burglary. One of the arrested persons is son of a TDP Leader, it is said.

H M Rajendra and Sachin, two gold traders from Mysuru were in Hyderabad to purchase gold. They were accompanied by their workers Sanketh, Swapnil and Sangappa. The five were staying at an apartment at Bashirbaugh, which belonged to their acquaintance named Raju.

When his staff ventured out to study the prices, Rajendra remained at the house. When the staff noticed sharp difference in gold rate, Rajendra directed them to return without purchasing the gold. Following the directions, the staff members returned to their accommodation. When the staff were in the lift, some miscreants stopped the lift on first floor, attacked them and fled with Rs 1.26 cr in cash.

A case was registered and police started scouting out the CCTV camera rushes of the building and arrested five. It is said that apart from a TDP leader’s son, a bakery owner living close to the apartment too is involved in the crime.
