Bengaluru: Three day long 83rd Akhila Bharatha Kannada Sahithya Sammelana will be held in Mysuru city from November 24 to 26.
According to Manu Baligar, president, Kannada Sahithya Parishat, the name of the Sammelana president is yet to be finalised. He said that a Committee has been formed to shortlist the eligible candidates to preside over the Sammelana.
As far as the Sammelana venue is concerned, he said that as of now they have Maharaja College grounds and exhibition ground in mind, either of which will be finalised.
“Final decision will be taken after consultation with the district in-charge minister,” he said.
In the 82nd convention held at Raichur city more than 1.5 lakh people attended the event and organisers are expecting a crowd of two lakh in Mysuru.
Elaborate arrangements will be made for the success of the event, he said.
