MP Pratap Simha receives death threat on Twitter, seeks police protection

Mysuru: BJP MP Pratap Simha has filed a complaint with the city police commissioner after receiving a threat on Twitter in the aftermath of senior journalist Gauri Lankesh’s assassination.

In the backdrop of the recent killing of journalist and rationalist Gauri Lankesh, a person named Ananth Murthy has held BJP leaders Pratap Simha and Prakash Sulibele responsible by accusing both of issuing hate comments continuously on social media website Twitter.

He has threatened of killing both in the future in his Twitter comment.

Pratap Simha has complained to the police of receiving death threats and has accused Ananth Murthy of provocation to crimes leading to murder.

Pratap Simha has sought police protection from the Mysore city police commissioner and demanded action against Ananth Murthy.
