Mysuru: The cultural capital of Karnataka, home turf of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Mysuru is all set to witness another war bugle from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 19, ahead of state Assembly elections.
Narendra Modi will address a public conference of the BJP at the Maharaja College ground at 2.30 PM. So, preparations have already begun to invite the prime minister and as a part of it, BJP leaders performed the Bhoomi Pooja on February 14.
BJP State General Secretary Arvind Limbavali performed the Guddali Pooja as a formal beginning of the preparations. Speaking to reporters, Aravinda Limbavali said, “The prime minister will visit the city to participate in various government programmes. On the same occasion, a BJP rally has been organised at Maharaja College ground. Around 1.50 lakh activists from Mysuru and surrounding districts would participate in the conference”, he said.
As part of the preparations, BJP National Joint Organising Secretary B L Santhosh conducted a meeting of the party leaders at President Hotel of the city and assigned the responsibilities. He checked the location of the conference and gave some guidance and directions to the local leaders regarding the preparations.
