Mysuru: A person sustained head injuries after a tree branch fell on him as he was waiting for the grand Dasara procession in Mysuru. The incident is reported to have occurred on the Sayyaji Rao road.
The injured man is identified as Prakash, a resident of Udbur from the city’s outskirts.
According to the police, Prakash had arrived in Mysuru to show his daughter the famous Dasara procession. As they were watching the procession, the branch fell on him causing injuries. The police alerted the rescue team, who rushed him to the KR hospital for treatment.
It has been alleged that the branch fell as tens of youths tried to climb it to witness the procession.
